Cloud Services are offered and used more as a utility, but in many cases a user may require the services of more than one cloud service provider. Here lies the problem, there is no uniform standard for data storage and retrieval across different providers, this is where the Supercloud comes into the picture. TheSupercloud acts as a distributor consuming resources from multiple providers and providing an amalgamation to the users giving them a feeling of having their own homogenous cloud. Virtualization and Cloud computing go hand in hand because of its unique characteristic of delivering resources in a cost effective manner. This distribution layer makes use of nested paravirtualization to obtain the above. The guest operating system is modified in order to adapt to virtual environment in paravirtualizationfor efficiency. The Supercloud can include different hypervisors, hardware architectures, storage subsystems and connection fabrics. The Supercloudbrings in benefits along with certain concerns. This paperdiscuses the need for the Supercloud along with the issues and challenges that can be faced in implementing the same.
