Abstract

This research designs performance measurement model at PT. XYZ, by using Quantitative Models for Performance Measurement System (QMPMS) method, based on baldrige excellence performance criteria. Increasing organizational performance is highly needed by a company to increase competitiveness. In order to measure organizational structure well, it is necessary to have a design of performance measurement model which is able to measure the effectiveness and the efficiency of each activity in an organization. There are some factors which influence a company’s performance such as strategic planning, focusing on customers and market, focusing on manpower, focusing on operation, and leadership. The data were gathered by distributing questionnaires to 150 workers and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and an SPSS Amos version 22 software program. The result of the research showed that there was direct influence of strategic planning (0.989), customers and market focus (0.203), workforce focus (0.190), process focus (0.173), and leadership (0.235) on company’s performance. Meanwhile, strategic planning and focusing on operation also indirectly influenced company’s performance through leadership. The design of performance measurement model of PT. XYZ, Medan, had been successful in identifying 25 Key Performance Indicators (KPI): 4 KPI of strategic planning criteria, 5 KPI of focusing on customers and market criteria, 5 KPI of focusing on manpower criteria, 6 KPI of focusing on operation criteria, and 5 KPI on leadership. There were hierarchy models and performance measurement matrix which could be implemented in the company.
