Abstract

Due to the unpredictable occurrences of accidents in the community, countries the world over are implementing schemes to ensure that such emergency situations are well relayed and attended to by the appropriate emergency organization. Thus, emergency call routing schemes have become popular today. In this paper, the different schemes implemented in the USA, UK, and Australia are discussed and general recommendations are made for implementing an emergency scheme in a developing nation such as Ghana.
